Research
Interests
My interests scatter around Teichmüller curves, i.e. special curves inside the Moduli space of (smooth) genus g curves. These arise naturally as (projections of) orbits of "flat surfaces" and their study leads to---among many other things---abelian varieties with special endomorphism structure or, more generally, Shimura varieties.

I also made a poster for the ICERM workshop "Cycles on Moduli Spaces, Geometric Invariant Theory, and Dynamics", Providence, USA (August 2016). I presented a slightly modified version at the CIRM workshop "Teichmüller Space, Polygonal Billiard, Interval Exchanges", Luminy, France (February 2017).
My thesis, Geometry of Prym–Teichmüller Curves and ℂ-linear Manifolds, was defended on September 29, 2017, and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Martin Möller.
