In November 2014, Luisa Hoffmann has joined the Department of Human Geography as a research assistant (wissenschafliche Mitarbeiterin). Her work is embedded in the DFG project „Global Micro in the Making: The Marketization of Weather Index Insurance for Agriculture in Ghana“ where she examines micro insurance programs from a postcolonial perspective. After having finished her Bachelor of Arts and Culture at Maastricht University, she studied the Master program Political Theory at Frankfurt University. In her master thesis, she grappled with the topic of microfinance schemes and processes of subjectivation in a neoliberal setting.
