Welcome at the Institute for Molecular Medicine

The Institute
The Institute for Molecular Medicine was founded in 2009 and coordinates the Master programme Molecular Medicine (MMM). The Institute's research area is Immunology with focuses on the biology and function of innate lymphocytes (Steinle group) as well as on T-cell development (Krueger group).

Steinle Lab
The main research interest of our laboratory concerns the molecular mechanisms governing the activation of Natural Killer (NK) cells in humans.

Krueger Lab
Our laboratory is primarily interested in understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the formation of T cells.
We are working on two aspects of T-cell development:
- a quantitative spatio-temporal model of T cell development
- post-transcriptional control of lymphocyte development by
non-coding RNA
