Regulation of emotions

Regulation of emotion is the attempt to influence or control one’s own emotions. Individuals that possess good mechanisms for emotion regulation show rarely evidence of mental illness. In contrast, problems with emotion regulation increase the risk of mental illness. We deal with the effects of specific styles of emotion regulation and their psycho-physiological effects in the everyday life and at the workplace.
