PD Dr. Nicola Glaubitz

   

Nicola Glaubitz was research associate at the IEAS for the research project “Individual temporalities and reading communities: Structures of temporality and anglophone long novels from the 1970s to the present”, part of the DFG-funded priority research programme Individual Aesthetic Temporalities: Time and Representation in Polychronous Modernity (SPP 1688) („Eigenzeit und Lesegemeinschaften: Zeitstrukturierung durch anglophone Langromane von 1970 bis heute“, SPP 1688 Aesthetische Eigenzeiten: Zeit und Darstellung in der polychronen Moderne, http://www.aesthetische-eigenzeiten.de/).
Nicola Glaubitz has been a researcher and lecturer in English Literature, Media Studies and Digital Philology in Siegen, Frankfurt and Darmstadt, and has held a visiting professorship at Technical University Darmstadt from 2014-2016. Her habilitation thesis explores crime writing and normality (Mimicking Normality. Crime, Self and Art in the Novels of Patricia Highsmith and Other Anglophone Writers, Goethe University, Frankfurt, 2014).  Key research areas are literature and sociology, literature and audiovisual media, early modern English drama, media aesthetics and media history.
