With a diverse and longstanding tradition in Frankfurt, our understanding of human geography is inspired by critical thinking and a desire to commit ourselves to politically relevant work. The Department aims to establish itself as one of the centres for integrated research and teaching in human geography both nationally and internationally. Belonging to the largest geography departments in Germany, we offer students, members of staff and guests a vibrant and stimulating academic environment.
