Research at the Institut for Theoretical Physics is dedicated to a wide selection of topics, ranging from the scale of nuclei and their constituents, through atomic quantum gases, the properties of solid-state materials and nanoobjects, to the scale of neutron stars and other astronomical objects and to the study of cognitive systems. Studienführer Theoretische Physik

Welche Wahlpflichtfächer sind für mich wichtig wenn ich Theoretischer Physiker werden möchte und eine Bachelor-/Master- oder Doktorarbeit in der Theorie anstrebe?

Die folgenden Wahlpflichtfächer werden regelmäßig angeboten. Sie haben einführenden Charakter und sind für die jeweiligen Spezialisierungsrichtungen  grundlegend für alle weiteren Studien. 

Kondensierte Materie

• Einführung in die Theoretische Festkörperphysik
• Höhere Theoretische Festkörperphysik
• Quantenmechanik 2

Elementare Materie / Kernphysik

• Einführung in die Theoretische Kern- und Teilchenphysik
• Quantenmechanik 2
• Quantenfeldtheorie I / II

Komplexe und Kognitive Systeme

• Complex and Adaptive Dynamical Systems

Astrophysik

• Für die theoretische Astrophysik verweisen wir auf das Nebenfach Astronomie.
