SeiteninhaltA1: Ultracold Fermi mixtures in optical lattices (Bloch)Prof. Dr. Immanuel Bloch In this project, we plan to set up a new apparatus on mixtures of fermionic The project is tightly interconnected with the fundamental goals of this SFB/TRR initiative to obtain a unified understanding of strong correlations effects and to reach out to real material systems starting from the model-based cold quantum gas systems. On the theory side, a close collaboration with Hofstetter (A3), Blümer (A6), Fleischhauer/Eggert (A5) and Gros (B7), is expected. On the experimental side we share common goals in the investigation of frustration effects and Hubbard type physics with the projects of Lang (B6) and Jeschke/Valentí (B2), as well as on dynamical aspects of correlations with the project of Hillebrands/Serha (A7).
