Overview
| Course content and focus areas |
The Master’s degree is awarded on the basis
of a coherent, two-year (four-semester) study programme offered by
Goethe-Universität in close co-operation with Universität
Libre de Bruxelles, Universität Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis,
Universität Nizza Sophia Antipolis, Universität Sevilla,
Universität Kopenhagen, and Universität La Coruna as well as
examinations passed in accordance with the study and examination
regulations of the aforementioned universities and the regulations of
Goethe-Universität. Students spend the first two semesters
studying at Goethe Universität Frankfurt and then spend each of
the third and fourth semesters at one or two of the partner
universities. Students may continue their studies at the partner
institutions after receiving 60 credit points (CPs) from Goethe
Universität Frankfurt. The focus of the third and fourth semesters
is on specialisation and will include key theoretical and practical
aspects. Another 60 Cps have to be attained in these two semesters, 17
of which in form of the Master’s thesis and an oral examination.
These two examinations belong to the Frankfurt part of the programme
and take place in the fourth semester.

minimum requirement is a university degree in
humanities (180 ECTS) or other entry requirements that have been
approved by the consortium (assessment of knowledge,
etc.). Applicants also need to meet selection requirements that
have been set by the consortium

| Documents to be submitted |
- a university entrance qualification (e.g. A-Levels), if you are not already
enrolled at Universität Frankfurt.
- Bachelor’s degree certificate
- if the Bachelor's degree has not yet been completed, a transcript of records
or equivalent document listing the content of the study programme and average
grade
- certificate of German language skills if the first degree was obtained at an
international higher education institution. See here
