Scholarship Foundations

The "Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Begabtenförderungswerke" (association of scholarship foundations for the gifted) supports highly qualified students and doctoral candidates who are particularly committed to their communities. They reflect the ideological, denominational, political, economic, or union-oriented currents that exist in Germany. Scholarship recipients are supported according to the specific guidelines of the "Begabtenförderungswerke" and in accordance with the orientation of the respective foundation. It is possible to apply for both undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

The individual scholarship funds provide information about the application conditions and the different types of support.

Liaison faculty members represent the individual scholarship funds at the respective university, act as contact persons for applicants and scholarship holders, and provide support for the application and selection processes. These activities are carried out on a voluntary basis, i.e. in addition to normal research and teaching duties.

We have interviewed liaison faculty members at Goethe University for you in order to give you a better insight into the individual sponsorship programs. You will learn, for example, which attributes are important for students when applying to the different scholarship programs. In addition, you can get important advice for your own application and selection process!
