The main goal of Science Day is to address any uncertainties you may have about pursuing the natural sciences and to give you an opportunity to explore what the field has to offer beyond the school curriculum.

Want to get a firsthand experience of what it's really like to study at university? If so, the Schnuppertagen (Discovery Days) are the perfect opportunity for you. You can organize a two-day visit to Goethe University through your school for your academic year, course or class group. This visit will give you a chance to participate in real lectures, seminars, and exercises and immerse yourself in the authentic university environment. Even if you come on your own, we encourage you to join a class visit and be part of the experience.

If you're in the final stages of your high school diploma and want to get an overview of the study programs suitable for you, consider attending the MainStudy event at the end of January. The MainStudy offers lectures that cover prerequisites, requirements, and content of approximately 145 bachelor and state examination programs. Additionally, you'll have the chance to explore different subjects through institute tours, lab tours, discussions with students and professors, as well as experimental and information booths. Complementing the MainStudy offerings, the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (federal employment agency) will also give presentations on professional practice and opportunities for transitioning between your school graduation and university studies.
