Dr. Talia Glucklich

 Postdoc Research Fellow

Talia Glucklich is a postdoc research fellow in the department of Educational Science at Goethe University, Frankfurt.

Talia has completed her BSW studies, MSW studies (summa cum laude), and PhD studies at Tel Aviv University's Social Work School, Israel. Parallel to her studies, Talia has worked for many years as a child protection social worker in one of the Tel Aviv Municipality's social welfare departments. In her various studies, Talia focuses on the manner in which child protection systems provide abused children with access to justice, not only in the legal context, but also in terms of social justice and realization of rights. Talia has conducted all her studies in cooperation with leading organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs and social workers in the field of child protection, as well as adults who were abused during childhood. In the framework of her Haruv Institute post-doctorate research scholarship at Goethe University, conducted under the direction of Prof Sabine Andresen, Talia is involved in development and research dealing with a comparison between the social welfare systems in Germany and Israel, as seen through the testimonies of adults who were sexually abused during childhood. On the theoretical level, Talia is currently involved in developing the concept of "transitional justice" and probing its existence in the private sphere, that is, in cases of abuse of children at home by their relatives. In addition, Talia is developing a theoretical model examining the relationship between the testimonies of adults who were sexually abused during childhood and the narratives regarding child sexual abuse.
