Course content and focus areas |
The Master’s programme in Political Theory, created by Goethe Universität Frankfurt and Technische Universität Darmstadt, is the first degree of its kind in Germany. Students attend lectures at, and are tutored by, both universities, which also jointly award the academic degree. The Master’s programme in Political Theory teaches the theoretical knowledge and academic skills necessary for a comprehensive analysis of the current political situation and its dynamics. Thus ideas of justice, democracy and power are confronted by the world’s current problems, which are becoming increasingly complex. The course includes: |

Admission requirements |

Provisional admission |
If the university entrance qualification for the consecutive Master’s programme (namely the Bachelor’s degree) has not yet been completed, you can apply for the programme with a transcript of records on the basis of at least 80% of the required for the bachelor's degree CP (normally 144 credit points). This provisional certificate must be issued by an office authorised to award grades or issue certificates. If a student is admitted, this will be on a provisional basis. Provisional admission is valid until the end of the first semester of the master’s program. The bachelor’s degree must thus be handed in by March 31 (winter intake) or September 30 (summer intake) the latest. |
