Overview

Course content and focus areas  The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main has been offering the Master of Science degree in Business and Economic Education since the winter semester 2008/09. The programme is flexible and polyvalent. The Master of Science is the second-level professional and academic degree. The Business Education programme is structured as consecutive Master’s programme.
One of two fields of study can be selected in the programme:
Business Education Field I, which expands knowledge of business administration and its content is close to the MBA;
Business Education Field II, which includes business administration studies plus the content of a “general” subject.
Please note: For Master students with the study start in winter semester 2016/2017 only Business Education Field II qualifies for the postgraduate traineeship in Hessen and consequently for the teaching profession in Hessen. Business Education Field I does not qualify for the postgraduate traineeship in Hessen in contrast.
You can find further information at the department's homepage.

The Master of Science in Business and Economic Education will equip students with the necessary professional skills that allow them to recognise education and qualification problems independently and to develop solutions or suggest alternative action. Teaching theoretical as well as practical professional knowledge aims to prepare students for a broad professional field in the area of vocational training for business and administration both inside and outside school. Students will also be integrated into research processes and will carry out small own research projects independently.
