- Biographie -

Studium der Psychologie und Evangelischen Theologie in Neuendettelsau, Erlangen, Marburg und Berlin. Diplom in Psychologie 1980 am Institut für Psychologie der Freien Universität Berlin. Theologisches Examen 1983 in Ansbach. Promotion zum Dr. phil. 1988, FU Berlin, Habilitation 1993 Universität Gießen. 1982-83 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in einem Forschungsprojekt über Psychischen Stress am Arbeitsplatz. 1983-1987 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter für Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie am Institut für Psychologie der FU Berlin. 1987-1990 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in einem Projekt im Mensch-Computer-Bereich (FAUST: Fehler-Analyse zur Untersuchung von Software und Training) an der Universität München. 1990-1991 Gast am Department of Psychology, University of Manchester. 1991-1993 Wissenschaftlicher Assistent am Institut für Psychologie der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. 1993-1994 Vertretungsprofessur an der Universität Bielefeld. 1994-1997 Professor an der Universität Konstanz. Seit 1997 Professor für Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.

Prof. Dr. Dieter Zapf gibt regelmäßig Vorlesungen zur Einführung in die Personalpsychologie im Bachelorstudiengang sowie Vorlesungen zur Einführung in die Arbeitspsychologie im Masterstudiengang. Darüber hinaus leitet er verschiedene, wechselnde Seminare und Forschungsmodule zu den Themen Arbeit und Gesundheit, Dienstleistung und Mobbing am Arbeitsplatz.
