Felix Silomon-Pflug is a research assistant at the Institute for Human Geography. He’s writing his PhD within context of the DFG-founded research project "Restructuring Municipal Administrations: New Public Management on the Example of Municipal Real Estate Management in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main", which is part of the joint DFG project "Re-Ordering the City in the Neoliberal Era". The investigation focuses on the conditions of modernization of municipal administrations and the resulting consequences for the internal structure of government, their strategic and programmatic direction and their actions.
In addition, Felix Silomon-Pflug is interested in approaches of materialistic state theory, works in the tradi-tion of Michel Foucault’s concept of gouvernmentality and the current transformation of universities. He studied political science at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and worked at the International Promotionscolleg (IPC) of the Faculty of Social Sciences till September 2010.
