FB03 - Gesellschaftswissenschaften
Der DFG-geförderte Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 1604 ›Produktion von Migration‹ beschäftigt sich disziplinübergreifend mit den Bedingungen und Funktionen der gesellschaftlichen Herstellung und Aushandlung von Migration. Ziel des SFB ist die Etablierung einer reflexiven Migrationsforschung als Gesellschaftsforschung. Angesiedelt ist der SFB an der Universität Osnabrück.
Im Teilprojekt ›C5 – Die Produktion von Klimaflucht als Theoretisierungsanlass‹ ist – vorbehaltlich der Mittelfreigabe – am Schwerpunkt Interpretative Sozialforschung (Prof. Thomas Scheffer) der Goethe Universität zum 01.04.2024 eine Stelle als
Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in (Doktorand*in) (m/w/d)
(E 13 TV-G-U, 75%-Teilzeit)
befristet bis zum 31.12.2027 zu besetzen. Die Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).
Ihre Aufgaben:
- Bearbeitung einer Fallstudie, die idealerweise zugleich die Grundlage der eigenen wissenschaftliche Weiterqualifikation in Form der Promotion ist
- Mitarbeit in mehreren Fallstudien des Teilprojekts
- aktive Teilnahme am SFB-eigenen Graduiertenkolleg
- Mitwirkung an den Veranstaltungen und Aktivitäten des Sonderforschungsbereichs am Standort Osnabrück
Einstellungsvoraussetzungen:
- sehr gut abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Master oder einem gleichwertigen Abschluss) im Fach Soziologie, Geographie oder einer anderen relevanten Disziplin der Sozialwissenschaften
- Vorkenntnisse in der Feld- und Diskursforschung in institutionellen Settings
- starkes Interesse an Perspektiven der praxeologischen Migrationsforschung
- sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
Idealerweise verfügen Sie über Vorkenntnisse im Bereich Klimawandel und internationale Klimapolitik und Erfahrungen mit interdisziplinärer und internationaler Zusammenarbeit.

The DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center (CRC) ›Production of Migration‹ (SFB 1604) examines the conditions and functions of the social production and negotiation of migration across disciplines. Research Assistant / Doctoral Candidate (m/f/d)
(E 13 TV-G-U, 75%-part-time)
to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2027. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).
Your tasks:
- implementing one of the project’s case studies as the basis for obtaining a PhD degree
- contributing to other case studies of the project
- active participation in the CRC’s Integrated Research Training Group
- on-site participation in the events and activities of the CRC in Osnabrück
Recruitment requirements:
- very good university degree in Sociology, Geography or other relevant disciplines in Social Sciences (MA or equivalent)
- knowledge of field and discourse research in institutional settings
- strong interest in praxeological perspectives of migration research
- excellent English language skills
Ideally you have:
- knowledge of climate change and international climate policy
- experience in interdisciplinary and international cooperation
