Alternatively, the documents can also be handed in directly to the post office (Mon - Fri until 12 noon) on the Bockenheim campus, canteen building, ground floor (be sure to state: doctoral office, subject 10, for internal mail please also use this address and seal it in an envelope or Cardboard!) Please give your reviewers a copy personally in advance!

The task of the Doctoral Studies Office is the administration of those doctoral examination procedures at faculties 5, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 leading to the degrees as Dr. phil. nat. or Dr. rer. nat. (§ 2 (5) of the Doctoral Regulations). All decisions in individual doctoral examination procedures are made by the Doctoral Committee responsible in accordance with § 1 (1), the Board of Examiners and the Dean. Applications for acceptance as doctoral researcher must be submitted to the Dean’s Office of the respective faculty or the Doctoral Studies Office. You can find the application form in our download area. Further information and links can also be found on the website of the respective faculty.

You can also find the documents you need to submit your dissertation in the download area. Please pay attention to our instruction sheet as well as the instruction sheets of the individual faculties!!!

Alternatively, the documents can also be handed in directly to the post office (Mon - Fri until 12 noon) on the Bockenheim campus, Mensa building, ground floor (be sure to state: doctoral office, subject 10, for internal mail please also use this address and seal it in an envelope or carton!) or hand it in personally at the doctoral office, but only with a prior appointment.
