Pia Eibes

PhD student

I am a PhD student in the Quartz island project of the Biogeography and Biodiversity Department at the Institute for Physical Geography (IPG) at the Goethe-University of Frankfurt. For my thesis, I study the diversity and distribution of the flora on quartz patches in the Succulent Karoo (South Africa). My thesis is supervised by Prof. Dr. Severin Irl, the Quartz island project is a joint project with Dr. Ute Schmiedel and Dr. Jens Oldeland from the Institute of Plant Science and Microbiology at the University of Hamburg.
