Profile
Marion Wambold did her Bachelor’s in Korean Studies and Sinology at the Ruhr University of Bochum and completed her Master’s in Asian Studies (Korean Language and Translation) at the University of Bonn. In 2014/15, she participated in the LTI Korea Regular Course for Korean-German translation. She worked as an assistant lecturer for Korean language at the University of Bonn.


Her doctoral thesis analyses the public discourse on muslim refugees in South Korea by examining Korean newspapers on a macro and micro level in order to detect possible shifts in relation to several notable incidents.
