Regulations for winter semester 2020/21

Due to the current situation, the following regulations apply to the application and enrolment procedures for Master's programmes for winter semester 2021/22:

Application deadlines

For all the other degree programmes (not mentioned here) the usual application deadlines still apply.

Preliminary admission

(number of Credit Points to be verified)

 

  • For Master‘s programmes (deadline May 31st or later) with restricted admissions:
    The minimum requirement of completed credit points in an ongoing Bachelor’s study programme of 80% has been reduced to 70%.

    For Master's programmes with non-restricted admissions:
    The university commitees will decide whether this regulation also applies to Master’s progammes with non-restricted admissions.

Application documents to be submitted

  • Certification of documents
    Applicants with foreign degree have to apply online via uni-assist portal and send certified copies by post to uni-assist. If you are unable to send certified copies by post due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, you have to upload the certified documents in uni-assist portal. In case of a successful application, you will have to submit certfied documents for the enrolment.

  • Proof of sufficient German language skills:
    Proof of adequate German language skills (usually DSH-2 or equivalent) must be submitted by the end of the application period the latest and cannot be submitted at a later stage.

  • Late submission of proof of foreign language skills:
    Due to the worldwide pandemic and, consequently, due to the closure of authorities and test centres, international applicants in particular may not be able to fulfil various application requirements (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, etc.). We accept TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition.
    Please enquire with the respective programme conveners if and to what extent required documents (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) can be submitted after the official deadline.

  • For the following Master's programmes none of the above-mentioned proofs can be submitted after the deadline; they must be submitted by the end of the (possibly extended) application deadline at the latest:

  • Business Administration 
  • International Economics and Economic Policy 
  • International Management
  • Money and Finance

  • APS (applicants from the People's Republic of China and Vietnam)
    The original APS certificate must be submitted as part of the application.

Consultation hours and submission of other documents (not for application)

Until further notice, our personal consultation hours are cancelled - individual appointments cannot be arranged. Please contact us via email: ssc-master@uni-frankfurt.de.

As soon as we can offer consultation hours again, we will announce this here.

If you still have to submit documents for your enrolment or have any other late submissions (bachelor's certificates, fulfilment of requirements, etc.), please send us these documents via e-mail to ssc-master@uni-frankfurt.de.

Preliminary admission

  • Number of Credit Points (CP) to be verified
    The reduction of the minimum requirements of completed credit points in an ongoing Bachelor’s study programme was only valid for the winter semester 2020/21.
    For application for the summer semester 2021 you have to provide at least 80% of the required CP for the bachelor's degree.

Application documents to be submitted

  • Certification of documents
    Applicants with foreign degree have to apply online via uni-assist portal. Additionally they have to send certified copies by post to uni-assist. If you are unable to send certified copies by post due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, you have to upload the certified documents. In case of a successful application, you will have to submit certified documents for the enrolment. Documents with a verification code are accepted as well and can just be uploaded.
