Jingeum Lee

Dr. Jingeum Lee completed her Master's degree in German Language and Literature at Kyonggi University in2003 and her doctorate at Sungkyunkwan University in 2010. From 2008 to 2013, she worked as a lecturer in German language and literature at Kyonggi University in Korea. As a translator, she worked on German children's books and various technical documents.
She has been constantly interested in German-Korean comparison, so she further studied Korean as a foreign language and obtained a Korean language teacher certificate in 2013. Since 2014, she has been teaching Korean language to Europeans who work with Korean companies in Germany, and has been working for a Korean company near Frankfurt since 2018.
In the summer semester 2018, she started challenging her second PhD in Korean Studies at Goethe University. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on intercultural communication between Koreans and Europeans in Korean companies located near Frankfurt, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yonson Ahn.
For the winter semester 2020/2021, she has joined the Korean Studies Frankfurt as a lecturer.
