Sarah Köhn joined the Korean Studies department as a Korean language lecturer in 2020. She holds a master’s degree in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language from Ewha Womans University and a bachelor’s degree in Empirical Linguistics, Korean Studies and Romance Studies from Goethe University Frankfurt. She was awarded the Korean Government Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS) in 2018 and obtained the Certificate of Korean Language Teacher level 2 from the National Institute of Korean Language. Her research interests include cross-cultural communication, Korean pragmatics and sociolinguistics.
