Curriculum Vitae
I am Professor of Ethnomusicology at the Goethe University Frankfurt, where I currently work on music, dance and postcolonial identities in the lusophone world, and ethnomusicology in the digital era. I completed my Masters and Doctorate in Musicology at Vienna University. Following my studies, I was appointed as a Junior Professor in Ethnomusicology at the University of Music in Rostock (2009–17). During my time in Rostock I also worked as guest professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and at the University of Vienna. I welcome enquiries from potential PhD students working in areas related to my research interests.
