Exhibition Plan

The campus locations of Goethe University Frankfurt

The Westend Campus is one of the five campuses and headquarters of Goethe University. The campus is located in the Westend district northwest of the city centre of Frankfurt am Main. The buildings of the social sciences and humanities degree programmes (departments 1 to 10) as well as the central administration are located on the Westend campus.

The Riedberg Campus is the natural sciences campus of Goethe University. It is located on the south-western slope of Frankfurt's Riedberg neighbourhood. It is home to the Departments of Biochemistry/Chemistry/Pharmacy and Physics, large parts of the Department of Geosciences/Geography (except for the Institute of Human Geography) and the Biosciences. In future, the Institutes of Mathematics and Computer Science will also be located here.

The Bockenheim Campus is located on the eastern border of the Bockenheim district of the city of Frankfurt am Main. From 1914, it served as the main campus of Goethe University for around 100 years and is currently being disbanded. The plan is to move all social sciences and humanities institutes to the Westend campus and all mathematics and natural sciences institutes to the Riedberg campus. The Bockenheim campus will then be converted into a cultural campus.

The Niederrad Campus is home to the university hospital, which combines modern medicine and medical training in the interests of the people. Hesse's largest is also Hesse's most modern clinic: research and application under one roof guarantee the best possible patient care. Naturally, all events organised by the Faculty of Medicine also take place here.

The Ginnheim Sports Campus is the smallest campus of Goethe University. It is located to the west of Frankfurt city centre between Ginnheimer Landstraße, the A66 motorway and Niddapark. The Institute of Sports Science of Faculty 05 is located on the sports campus, which is also home to the Centre for University Sports with a sports hall and various outdoor facilities.
