Interested in applying for the Deutschlandstipendium?

Goethe University participates in the Deutschlandstipendium, a nationwide scholarship program that provides scholarship holders with €300 per month for an initial period of one year, independently of BAföG. Goethe University also offers a non-material support program that connects you with sponsors, companies, and students from a wide range of disciplines. Would you like to learn more about a scholarship from a liaison faculty member?

The liaison faculty of various foundations and scholarships for highy qualified individuals can provide you with information about the application process and are available to answer any questions you may have about the scholarship in question. The liaison faculty work on a voluntary basis for the foundations and scholarship funds and are also responsible for supporting the scholarship holders on site.

You can find the contact details of the individual liason faculty members under the profiles of the individual scholarship funds (Begabtenförderwerke).

Do you have questions about financing your studies?

If you have questions about financing your studies, the Studierendenwerk's financial advisory service at the counseling center on the Westend Campus can help. For example, students in advanced stages of their studies can apply for a low-interest education loan or a student loan to cover living expenses. The KfW-Studienkredit (KfW student loan) can help finance the entire duration of your studies or extended periods of study. You may schedule an appointment online or by phone.

Have questions about BAföG?

General questions about BAföG can be directed to the free BAföG hotline of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research at the following phone number: 0800 / 223 63 41.

You can get individual advice during the office hours of the Amt für Ausbildungsförderung (office for the promotion of education) or during an initial counseling session about BAföG at the counseling center on the Westend Campus.

Looking for a part-time job or internship?

Are you looking for an internship, a part-time job, a thesis, a doctorate or a graduate position? You can find a wide variety of job offers in the Career Service's online job board. It is also possible to register in the applicant portal and have the job offers that match your profile sent to you in the form of a newsletter. You can also seek advice at the open office hours on the Westend Campus. Moreover, the Career Center offers you a wide range of additional training and qualification opportunities.

Im Global Office der Goethe-Universität können Sie sich rund ums Studium und Praktikum im Ausland beraten lassen - zum Beispiel wenn Sie sich für eines der Direktaustauschprogramme mit ausländischen Hochschulen in den USA, Kanada, Korea, Israel, Australien, Tschechien, China oder Japan interessieren oder am ERASMUS+-Programm in unterschiedlichen, europäischen Ländern teilnehmen möchten. Wenn Sie sich für ein Praktikum im Ausland interessieren, bietet das Global Office viele Informationen zu Praktikumsstellen und -vermittlung sowie zu Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten. Die Sprechstunde findet auf dem Campus Westend und dem Campus Riedberg statt.


At Goethe University's Global Office, you can get advice on all aspects of studying and interning abroad. Our team is happy to advise you, for example, if you are interested in one of the direct exchange programs with foreign universities in the USA, Canada, Korea, Israel, Australia, the Czech Republic, China or Japan, or if you would like to participate in the ERASMUS+ program in various European countries. If you have your eye on doing an internship abroad, the Global Office offers a lot of information about internship positions and placement as well as funding opportunities. Office hours are held at the Westend Campus and the Riedberg Campus.
