NIGHT OF SCIENCE on Riedberg Campus

The student-led science festival celebrates its 20th anniversary on June 12 with over 90 presentations, guided tours, interactive activities, and numerous booths.

Launch of Frankfurt Conservation Center: A Bright Start for Nature Conservation

The Frankfurt Conservation Center (FCC) was officially inaugurated today during a festive ceremony at Villa 102 hosted by KfW Foundation, the charitable foundation of Germany’s public development bank. Guests included Frankfurt’s Deputy Mayor for Culture and Science, Ina Hartwig, Environmental Deputy Mayor Tina Zapf-Rodriguez, Patricia Zurita, Executive Director of Conservation International, and keynote speaker Sylvie Goulard.

Joshua Groß Launches Frankfurt Poetry Lecture Series on Avatars and the Digital Present

Poetry lecture series kicks off to a full auditorium: On Tuesday evening, author Joshua Groß delivered the first of his lectures on the topic “Walking Beside Oneself: Thinking in Avatars.” The series continues on June 16 and 23 (both at 6 p.m.), with the closing reading taking place on June 24 at the Literaturhaus Frankfurt. Additionally, the accompanying exhibition “The Horizons of the Shapeshifters” opens today at the University Archives (Dantestr. 9, Mon–Fri, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.).

The “Campus Realities” exhibition was opened by the participants in the art project in the presence of Vice President Prof. Viera Pirker, Dean Hans Peter Hahn, and Prof. Catherine Whittaker, Executive Director of the Institute of Ethnology.
