DAAD short-term scholarships apply to internships in one of the following organizations:
- German embassies and consulates
- International organizations (according to international law; such as EU, UN, NATO, World Bank etc.)
- German Schools Abroad (not for teaching students as there is a specific program called Internships for students of teaching)
- Goethe-Institutes
- German Archeological Institutes
- Max Weber Foundation
- A limited number of institutes of cultural and educational policy (please ask DAAD in advance whether your target institution is applicable)
You receive funding for both your travel expenses as well as expenses of your stay abroad. The period of your internship must be between 40 days and 3 months.
You have to apply online via DAAD. Applications are accepted the earliest 56 days and the latest 14 days before your internship starts.
