ERASMUS+ in Split

Dr. Florian Mayrhofer visited the Catholic-Theological Faculty in Split for a short teaching stay from April 27 to May 1, at the invitation of Assist. Prof. Nenad Palac. The aim was to connect with students on-site, engage in professional dialogue with colleagues, and deepen the cooperation between the faculties in Split and Frankfurt.

AI as a topic in religious education

Through various seminar inputs, students gained fascinating insights into how AI can be addressed in religious education—and how it offers a valuable opportunity to reflect on the divine attribute of omnipotence. The discussions were intensive and highly engaging.

Professional exchange

The exchange also included discussions on how holistic religious education can succeed in light of current societal challenges, which proved to be an essential part of the visit.

In-house film studio

Prof. Jadranka Garmaz introduced the faculty’s in-house film studio, where various formats of modern faith communication are developed for the Croatian context—from explanatory videos to discussions on religious topics.

Meeting Prof. Marko Šutalo from Mostar

The exchange with Prof. Marko Šutalo, who visited from the Theological-Catechetical Institute in Mostar, was equally informative. He shared insights into the work of his institute and the religious value orientations of youth in Herzegovina. Possible collaborations were also explored.

Discovering Split’s classical heritage

Split is not only a stunning city by the sea but also a place where classical antiquity can be felt at every corner.

Hvala i do skorog viđenja! – Thank you and see you soon!

A heartfelt thanks goes to Assist. Prof. Nenad Palac, who visited Frankfurt last November and made this stay possible. The cooperation between Frankfurt and Split is set to expand in the coming years!
