Yes. When selecting the courses you would like to attend abroad and have recognised, you must note the following:
As a rule, you must attend courses in the same subject that you are studying in Frankfurt. Exceptions are possible in individual cases for modules designated accordingly (in part for supplementary or specialisation modules) and for interdisciplinary degree programmes.
The course attended must be consistent with the module for which you are applying for recognition in terms of content. You must especially ensure that the course suitably covers the knowledge and competences listed in the module description in the respective Study Regulations.
If the Study Regulations require proof of learning outcomes achieved in a master's seminar for completion of a module, a master's seminar must also be completed abroad. This applies, for example, for the specialisation module in the BA degree programmes.
The number of contact hours (= credit hours per week per semester x duration of the semester) and the required credit points must roughly correspond to Goethe University's requirements. In general, this is unproblematic. There are sometimes problems with credit points based on a short essay only or which are even awarded without any written work abroad at all.
