The transnational ENGAGEgreen Science-Policy Dialogue Schemes bring together — either virtually or in-person — policymaking professionals from EU institutions and international organisations with scientists from the ENGAGEgreen universities on issues of green and digital transitions.
We offer two dialogue schemes for policymaking professionals from EU institutions and international organisations:
- ENGAGEgreen Virtual Science Policy Chats,
- ENGAGEgreen Transnational Policy Fellowship comprising in-person meetings and/or virtual meetings.
The dialogue schemes enable policymaking professional to access scientific knowledge on the policy issues, they are dealing with, while the participating scientists learn policy perspectives on their research.
The schemes are very flexible. Policymaking professionals decide what type of questions to put forward: They can ask specific question or engage in fundamental debates on current policy issues.
How do the schemes work?
ENGAGEgreen Virtual Science Policy Chats
This scheme allows policymaking professionals and scientists to have up to four virtual chats on issues related to green or digital transitions. The scheme is straightforward: Interested policymaking professionals can send us the questions or policy issues they want to discuss with scientists via our website. The ENGAGEgreen team will then provide information on our scientists with expertise in the requested fields. Policymaking professionals can choose the researchers they would like to meet virtually. We will then schedule virtual chats with our scientists. Policymakers can register and submit questions here throughout the year.

ENGAGEgreen Transnational Policy Fellowship
The fellowship allows policymaking professionals to conduct 10 -16 in-person or virtual meetings with our scientists on issues of green and digital transition.
Policymaking professionals can visit one university or two or three universities within the network in France, Germany, or Spain between May and July 2025. They will conduct the second round of their meetings between September 2025 and February 2026. Should in-person meetings not be feasible, policymaking professionals, who are accepted into the programme, can also conduct one or two rounds of virtual meetings.
Applications can be submitted here by 17 February 2025.
