The Physics building, which has won awards for its architecture, offers students modern learning spaces, its own lecture hall, and exciting research laboratories. The garden courtyards and Café Physik are perfect places to relax after lectures or lab sessions.


As part of its research-oriented curriculum, the department of physics offers students the opportunity to work with unique research facilities, such as the FRANZ particle accelerator. In state-of-the-art research laboratories, students can gain practical experience in scientific research while working on their theses.
The Physics Learning Center is unique in the Rhine-Main region and has won multiple awards. Here, students receive support with lecture materials and homework assignments and can ask questions to help them understand complex concepts. In a relaxed atmosphere and with the help of peer tutors, students develop a genuine understanding of physics.
