Already in 1958, the members of the Freunde & Förderer recognized the importance of supporting young scientists. The €10,000 award, donated by the association, honors the best dissertation in natural sciences at Goethe University. With this long-standing prize, the Freunde & Förderer provide support for young academics and pave the way for the careers of many scientists.
