Study requirements

University entrance qualification:
A university entrance qualification (HZB) is required, usually the Abitur or a relevant subject-specific university entrance qualification or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the Hessian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs.
In addition to an interest in biology and a willingness to engage in practical work, knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics is desirable for admission to the study of life sciences or one of the biology teacher training programs. For the biology teaching degree program, sufficient familiarity with the English language is also required. If this knowledge is lacking, it must be acquired during the course of study.
