Equal opportunity work

The equal opportunities officer and up to two deputies are elected every two years at the women’s assembly of Faculty 07. They represent the interests of FLINTA

Equal opportunity office

The equal opportunities officer of the faculty

In coordination with the central equal opportunity officer and her deputies, the decentralized equal opportunity representatives work within their areas to promote the implementation of equality. They are elected for a term of office of two years and, on behalf of the central equal opportunity officer, take on tasks and participation rights, such as involvement in committee work and appointment and hiring procedures.

This includes, among other things:

- Exercising the participation rights of the equal opportunity officer in hiring and appointment processes (excluding the right to object).
- Contributing (with advisory input and the right to submit proposals) to the committees of the faculty, with the exception of examination committees.
- Providing advisory input in the development of GEDAP (Gender & Diversity Action Plans) within faculties and central institutions.
- Offering initial guidance on implementing equality and achieving work-life balance for work/study and family responsibilities.
- Supporting the faculty in planning and implementing initiatives and measures that promote equality.
- Serving as the first point of contact and referral for cases of gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment.

Feminist Teaching Assignment

In collaboration with Faculty 06, Faculty 07 regularly offers feminist theology courses. During the summer semester, these courses are held in Catholic Theology, while in the winter semester, they take place in Protestant Theology. Over time, all theological disciplines are gradually involved. These courses are always open to students from both faculties.

Where possible within the modularized degree programs, students can earn academic credits in the feminist theology seminars, including module (or sub-module) examinations. Additionally, students have the option to attend multiple courses and receive a certificate for their participation.
