At the Professorship for Practical Theology and Religious Education within the Faculty of Catholic Theology at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, the position of
Research Associate
(E 13 TV-G-U, part-time)
is available as soon as possible on a fixed-term basis for an initial duration of three years. The classification is based on the job characteristics outlined in the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).
Responsibilities include supporting teaching, research, and self-government activities, as well as contributing to events organized by the professorship (such as conference planning, guest lectures, colloquia, etc.). There will also be an opportunity for independent research, particularly for work on a dissertation.
Applicants must hold a completed academic degree (Master, Magister, Diplom, or First State Exam for L3 or a teacher training program with a standard period of study of at least eight semesters) in Catholic Theology, Catholic Religious Studies, or Religious Education.
Candidates are expected to pursue a doctorate in Practical Theology (e.g., Religious Education), collaborate with the Chair for Practical Theology and Religious Education, contribute to the Catholic Theology teacher training programs at Goethe University with a teaching load of 2 SWS, and assist with self-government tasks. Experience in empirical research is welcome.
