“Good research and teaching rely on partners worldwide. International researchers and students rely on our support here on campus. The internationality of science and study depends on strong framework conditions.”
The ISZ brings together Goethe University's core offerings for study preparation aimed at international applicants: the Preparatory School and German as a foreign language. It also provides foreign language courses for students.
Goethe University promotes international teaching: through English-language offerings, global collaborations, and diverse exchange programs, it strengthens intercultural competencies and transforms the campus into a site of worldwide connection.
Goethe University supports refugees before, during, and after their studies. In addition to preparatory courses and language classes, this includes scholarships, assistance with finding housing and administrative processes, funding and integration.
Goethe University maintains partnerships with over 450 universities across Europe and around the world. It promotes both international exchange among students as well as international research, thereby strengthening global networking.
Goethe University's Global Office is the central institution for international partnership and mobility management, as well as for coordinating many other international matters.
