Career opportunities

A course in German studies prepares students for careers in various fields. For students, this means they don’t have to commit to a specific career path at the start of the program. Throughout their studies, they have the opportunity to independently explore new areas of work they may want to pursue later. These fields can be experienced firsthand through hands-on training or internships.

In general, graduates of German studies often find employment in the following areas:

Academic career (Master’s degree)

Archival work / documentation, library studies, publishing, translation

Adult education, literature and cultural management, theatre, museum work

Journalism, public relations, marketing and media

Politics and economics, tourism
