Academic Career
Completing the B.A. enables graduates to pursue a Master's degree in Islamic Studies or continue their studies in another humanities, social sciences, or cultural studies degree program. The program provides both academic methods and the necessary expertise. Additionally, students are introduced to systematic, academic thinking as well as essential soft skills (e.g., presentation techniques and writing competencies). These skills can be further developed in an M.A. degree program.

Qualified Employment Outside the University
The B.A. degree qualifies graduates for a wide range of professional fields. The program particularly equips students to actively engage, advise, and mediate in sociopolitical issues related to the Islamic religion (such as mosque construction, neighborhood conflicts, ethical questions, etc.). To effectively connect theological content with societal challenges in a practical way, students are encouraged to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field either during or after their studies.

Career Fields
The program prepares students for numerous career paths in academic, sociopolitical, cultural, and religious sectors. In addition to training future academic professionals for university teaching and research, the program also educates specialists for counseling and/or roles in business, politics, administration, school and community education, congregational work, pastoral care, child and youth work, adult education, media, and journalism, among others.
