Friedrich Dessauer High School

The Friedrich Dessauer High School is a public grammar school in Frankfurt am Main, serving as the upper secondary level within the Frankfurt-Höchst school network. It is the largest of Frankfurt’s four dedicated upper secondary grammar schools.

The Friedrich Dessauer High School is located in the Frankfurt Education and Cultural Center (known as BIKUZ for short). The building also houses administrative offices for the Frankfurt Adult Education Center (VHS), which uses the premises for its classes. Additionally, the city library for the Höchst district is located in the same building.

The school stands out for its wide variety of subjects and its extensive programs designed to support students. For example, the faculty at FDG places a strong emphasis on career and college readiness, which is reflected in the solid curriculum for career and study orientation (BSO) that is firmly integrated into the school’s program.
