Heinrich Böll School

The Heinrich Böll School is a "cooperative comprehensive school" where the Hauptschule, Realschule, and Gymnasium branches, along with the GOS, all work together under one roof. Every student attends a class in one of the three school branches, based on their respective abilities. In the many extracurricular programs offered as part of the full-day schedule, all students come together to learn, work, play sports, and more. Currently, about two-thirds of the students are enrolled in the Gymnasium branch.

Our education and upbringing goals focus on fostering and expecting certain abilities and personal qualities in our students, including:

- Self-esteem, communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills
- A willingness to achieve, the ability to accept criticism, and sound judgment
- The capability and motivation for lifelong learning
- Academic readiness and an interest in scientific work
- The ability to meet the demands of a globalized world.
