Helmholtzschule
The Helmholtzschule sees itself as a high school rich in tradition with a modern touch. Our school, which is over 100 years old, was originally built as a boys' school, and the name of the great natural scientist Helmholtz was meant to reflect its guiding principle. Today, just as many girls as boys study at the Helmholtzschule, with interests spanning traditional linguistic, social science, and math/science areas, as well as athletic and artistic pursuits. Our specialized classes and partnerships with a wide range of organizations exemplify this perfectly.
The diversity and variety at our school are also reflected in the cultural backgrounds of our students. The Helmholtzschule strives to be a space where different talents and perspectives can be discovered and nurtured. We aim to achieve this in an atmosphere of openness, which is at the heart of our guiding principle.
