The annual Girls' Day invites girls to get a taste of career fields and subjects that have traditionally been dominated by men. Genderqueer young people are also welcome to participate in Girls' Day.
Girls' Day helps make IT and technical professions more attractive. After the 2022 event, for example, 21 percent of participating schoolgirls could imagine pursuing a career in information technology or computer science, compared to only 12 percent before (www.girls-day.de/daten-fakten/girls-day-befragungen/2022-wirkungsstudie).
This year, Girls' Day will take place on April 3. Goethe University is also offering a number of exciting workshops for girls. The natural sciences departments are opening their (laboratory) doors and providing insights into practical laboratory work and the various natural science degree programs.
