On Boys' Day, students gain insight into career fields that boys rarely consider in the career orientation process, such as daycare centers, nursing, elementary school teaching, and library work.
The nationwide Boys' Day campaign also takes place at Goethe University Frankfurt. The university library opens its doors to students in grades 5–10 and provides insights into practical library work at the information desks and behind the scenes. On this day, the students support professionals in their work and are supervised by library trainees. The trainees also talk about their everyday training and are available to answer any questions the students may have.
