Hessian Student Academy

The Hessian Student Academy offers an in-depth and complementary educational program to that provided by schools, enabling students to develop and expand their skills as intensively as possible, collaborate with equally motivated future teachers, and engage in lively exchanges with other enthusiastic young people who are on the same wavelength.

We value the combination of academic work with musical and cultural experiences and interdisciplinary exchange: You will take part in one of four specialist courses led by experienced university lecturers and supervised by a team of trainee teachers. You can choose from a range of artistic and cultural courses (from theater and dance to music improvisation and choir to debating or natural history). You will experience a varied program of interdisciplinary evening events. You will receive a certificate for participating in the academy. The program is aimed at upper-level students at general education schools in Hesse who are particularly interested and engaged in at least one of the subject areas offered.

The organizers are Goethe University, the Hessian Teacher Academy, and the Burg Fürsteneck Academy under the patronage of the Hessian Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs.
