The so-called "Begabtenförderungswerke" in Germany comprise 13 foundations that focus on supporting high-achieving, committed individuals as part of the "StipendiumPlus" program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The basic grant for students is up to 812 euros, plus an income-independent allowance for study costs of 300 euros per month. You should only apply for the political foundation to which you can credibly demonstrate that you share the political values and convictions represented by the foundation.
The foundations have liaison lecturers who recommend students for scholarships, interview applicants and/or supervise the scholarship holders. You can find a list of the liaison lecturers at Goethe University here.

The special feature of the TANDEM scholarship program is that scholarship holders receive 1:1 mentoring from a university lecturer close to their subject and place of study.
The Dr. Arthur Pfungst Foundation supports talented students in financial need with scholarships during their studies at German universities.
The Main Campus Academicus program is aimed at outstandingly qualified and particularly motivated students in their Master's and advanced studies. You cannot apply to the program yourself. Scholarship holders are nominated by the universities. The scholarship consists of a monthly basic amount of 700 euros and 50 euros in book money.
The Pestalozzi Foundation Frankfurt grants scholarships for qualified education to people from Frankfurt am Main and the Rhine-Main region. The target group includes young people whose aptitude and studies or training will benefit the general public and who are unable to finance their studies or training from their own resources.
The Peter Fuld Foundation supports students of all disciplines, pupils and apprentices who are struggling with difficult starting conditions or who would have to interrupt or drop out of their education without financial help.
The von Schad'sche Stiftung is a small foundation in Frankfurt am Main, which honors the memory of Anna Sybilla Schad von Mittelbieberach. The foundation primarily helps young people who need support in order to receive a good education and whose parents are unable to pay for their education.
