Curriculum Development and Evaluation Tasks

The Curriculum Development and Evaluation office provides information, coordinates, advises, and assists the faculties in the ongoing development of their curricula. On the basis of the university's guiding principles for teaching (principles of study and teaching, guiding principles for digital teaching), our team promotes the development of teaching profiles, systematic course development, and the integration of university-based teaching innovations at the study program level in dialogue with the faculties.

Alongside outstanding research, Goethe University strives to offer high-quality degree programs. In their commitment to continuously improving the quality of teaching and study, the faculties are supported by a dialogue- and service-oriented quality assurance system. The study program-related quality assurance measures are linked together in an eight-year accreditation and evaluation process, which is coordinated and further developed by Curriculum Development and Evaluation. The results of the study program evaluation and the key performance indicators are presented to the external experts during the internal re-accreditation process. In addition, the recommendations of the internal re-accreditation process are addressed during the subsequent study program evaluation in an exchange with students and faculty representatives
