Program Structure Bachelor's Degree in Biophysics

The bachelor's degree in biophysics is divided into into mandatory courses and a selection of compulsory elective courses.

Overview

Mandatory courses

Students must take mandatory basic courses worth 116 CP:

  • 50 CP Physics
  • 8 CP Mathematics
  • 31 CP Chemistry
  • 6 CP Biology
  • 18 CP Practical Courses
  • 3 CP Programming

Students must take special biophysics courses that focus on teaching the connection between the basics of natural sciences and biophysics worth 34 CP.

Elective courses

The elective course area (15 CP) gives students the opportunity to set an individual focus in their studies:

  • ~6 CP general elective area
  • 6-12 CP biology elective area
  • 3 CP optional module
     

Bachelor's thesis

The program concludes with a bachelor's thesis, which consists of the thesis itself and accompanying seminars worth 15 CP
