Bachelor's Thesis
Supervision
Students choose their own supervisor, based on their interests. Bachelor's thesis can be supervised by professors from the departments 13, 14, and 15.
Finding a topic
Together with their supervisor, students agree on a topic for the bachelor's thesis. As part of their thesis, students become a part of the different research groups. It is possible to write an external bachelor's thesis (e.g. at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysics) upon request or by agreement with the supervisor.
Registration
The bachelor's thesis must be registered at the examination office using the registration form. After that, students have three months to finalize the thesis.
Submission
After completing their bachelor’s thesis, students must submit three hard copies and a digital copy (on CD or USB drive) to the examination office. The thesis must be accompanied by a declaration of independence in which they confirm that they have completed the thesis using only the indicated resources (including AI tools).
