Perspectives

The MA program "Japan in the World: Global Challenges, Cultural Horizons" addresses current developments in Japan and Japanese research, focusing on Japan as a significant global player. The program centers on topics such as globalisation in Japan, cultural and identity discourses, questions surrounding "Japanese traditions," ideological orientations and future models, as well as issues of human images, ethical horizons, and social justice. The aim of this research-oriented master's program is to enable students to conduct independent research at an advanced level.
